Sonoma County Supervisors still approving events for wineries. Where’s that study?

Winery request for Condition Changes: Referral UPE18-0031 (6683, 6685 and 6687 Highway 12, Santa Rosa)

This is a request for use permit review of updated technical reports to evaluate cumulative traffic and noise impacts as required by Use Permit (UPE09-0071) Condition of Approval #114 for events at Annadel Winery. The conditional Use Permit approval allows for an increase in annual events from 10 to 30 weddings provided that updated noise or traffic studies are prepared and evaluated accordingly to ensure no potential cumulative impacts result from increased events. The current request includes for public review copies of both the updated traffic impact study and noise assessment for increased events. A copy of the Conditions of Approval is also attached for reference (related excerpts below).

CONDITION #78:
“…increase to 30 Special Events per year to include: 10 events with 100 guest maximum, 10 events with 200 guests maximum and 10 events with 225 guests maximum.” ” ..Special events hours of operation shall be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Amplified sound/music shall cease by 9:45 p.m. and guests must leave the site by 10:00 p.m.”

CONDITION #114:
“Prior to expansion of special events from 10 to 30 per year, a Use Permit review shall be conducted subject to a public hearing to re-evaluate the cumulative traffic and noise impacts of events.”
