WHO:Sam Magruder, Managing Member for Petaluma Hills Farm , LLC has applied for a Use Permit for a commercial cannabis operation
PRMD File No.UPC17-0020.
The proposed project is a cannabis operation including cultivation to flower and propagation within a 15,353 square foot cultivation building including 8,096 square feet of mixed light/ greenhouse flowering canopy, 2,880 square feet of indoor flowering canopy
, and 4,080 square feet of indoor non-flowering propagation. The operation would also include 28,560 square feet of outdoor
cultivation. The total flowering cultivation area would not exceed 43,560 square feet(1 acre). On-site processing would consist
of trimming, drying, curing, weighing, and packaging. Proposed hours of operation for cultivation, indoor processing, and outdoor harvesting are24 hours per day, seven days per week, as needed. Outdoor processing, deliveries, and shipping would be limited to 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. The cannabis operation would employ up to 10 full-time positions, including 2 full-time security guards, an on-
site manager, and up to 7 cultivation, processing, and harvest staff.The project is located on a 37.02-acre parcel at 334 Purvine Road, Petaluma, APN 022-230-020. Zoning on the parcel is Land Extensive Agriculture 100-acre density, Accessory Dwelling Unit
Exclusion (LEA B6 100, Z).
Supervisorial District 2
The Sonoma County Board of Zoning Adjustments will hold a public hearing to consider an action approving the Use Permit for the cannabis operation in which all interested persons are invited to attend and provide comments. The County will accept comments on the proposed
Mitigated Negative Declaration between March 11, 2019 and April 11, 2019.The potential project impacts have been analyzed and an Initial Study is available for review at the address below. A Mitigated Negative Declaration, including mitigation measures agreed to
by the applicant, has been prepared for the project to avoid or reduce to a less-than-significant level potentially significant adverse impacts on the environment. Potential environmental impacts have been identified in the following topic areas: Air Quality, Biological Resources,
Cultural Resources, and Noise.
The public hearing will be held on
April 11, 2019, at2:20 p.m. at the Sonoma
County Permit and Resource Management Department Hearing Room,
