REJECT Bernhardt’s swamp creature mini-me

Will you call your Senators at (202) 224-3121 and urge them to protect our public lands and wildlife by voting AGAINST Daniel Jorjani’s nomination as Bernhardt’s Interior Solicitor?

The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee advanced the nomination of Daniel Jorjani, a former Koch brothers’ key employee and President Trump’s pick for Solicitor at the Interior Department, on a party-line vote.

The full Senate will vote next, and we need your help to stop this horrific nomination!

Will you call your Senators at (202) 224-3121 and urge them to protect our public lands and wildlife by voting AGAINST Daniel Jorjani’s nomination as Bernhardt’s Interior Solicitor?

Jorjani is another historically conflicted nominee who would simply be David Bernhardt’s swamp creature mini-me. As Acting Solicitor, Jorjani has been the architect of some of Interior’s most controversial decisions that benefited industry and special interests.

He reversed a previous Interior ruling to renew a mining lease for a Chilean company connected to Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner’s landlord. And in December 2017, he reinterpreted the Migratory Bird Treaty Act to let oil, gas, and other companies off the hook for the incidental killing of birds!

But if Jorjani had his way, we wouldn’t know about any of that. He’s been leading Interior’s efforts to thwart transparency, including restricting Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and subjecting all requests for public documents to a political review by his own office!

We can’t let Jorjani be confirmed without a fight, Friend. The committee vote was close, so if we can convince just a couple more Senators to oppose Jorjani’s confirmation before the full Senate votes, then we can stop this nomination.

Will you give your Senators a call at (202) 224-3121 and demand that they OPPOSE Daniel Jorjani’s nomination to be the Solicitor of the Interior Department? Our public lands and wildlife are depending on you to take action to protect them.
