With soaring cancer rates in Napa and Sonoma along with rising use of glyphosate in vineyards (84,606 pounds on Sonoma vineyards in 2013 alone according to the California Department of Pesticide Regulation cdpr.ca.gov ) no wonder our once safe haven of organic and biodynamic wines is being polluted with the “probable” carcinogen. It is time to ban the use from our counties and mandate safe schools with the Pesticides Protection Zones as passed in our legislature AB289. Poisoning children for profit is not acceptable.
