Petition Update on Dogwood (Gualala Redwoods)

Apr 1, 2018 — While not a surprise, we were disturbed to learn Cal-Fire approved the revised Dogwood THP. The decision came out this Friday. Guess what? Logging season starts Monday. Doesn’t give us much time to try to get a court order to stop the logging. Pretty good planning on Cal-Fire and Gualala Redwoods.
There are three days this coming week before we can request a temporary restraining order by the judge who threw out the original THP. You’d be amazed at how many Redwoods experienced loggers can fall in three days. Several locals are arranging a protest tomorrow, Monday, April 2nd at 6:30 am. Meet at one of these two places: The Green Bridge (drive past Gualala Arts Center and continue until you reach the Green Bridge) and at Twin Bridges (drive up Annapolis Road, past the bakery, then when the road drops down you cross the first bridge. Assemble at the second bridge.)
