What is the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Update?
The Master Plan Update 2018 is a critical tool in building a citywide transportation system that is bicycle and pedestrian friendly. The goal of the Plan Update is to encourage residents to bike and walk; to make Santa Rosa a more bicycle and pedestrian friendly city.
Background
The City of Santa Rosa, in coordination with the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board, is updating the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan (BPMP). Since January 2018, the team has been actively gathering community feedback on suggested improvements to the City’s Bike and Pedestrian network. Feedback was obtained through a variety of methods including community events, stakeholder presentations, meetings, and through our online survey & interactive mapping tools. The feedback was reviewed and submitted for consideration in developing the draft Bike and Pedestrian networks. A draft of the Bicycle and Pedestrian network recommendations will be presented during the Community Open House on July 25, 6:00-8:00pm.
