The Potter Valley Project in Mendocino County supplies the water that is stored in Lake Mendocino and used by all of us along the Russian River. Pacific Gas and Electric Company took an unexpected action when they recently announced that they will no longer be selling or re-licensing the Potter Valley Project. Now we are faced with serious new challenges in our efforts to assure water supply reliability for all of the affected communities along the Russian River in Mendocino, Sonoma and Marin Counties.
