Support Food Justice

We invite you to join us this Sunday to help raise funds for Equity, Inclusion & Justice (EIJ) programs at Slow Food Nations this summer and beyond! We will have a lively party featuring food, beverages, and “EmBracelets.” Sample bites from the Slow Food Ark of Taste accompanied by local wine and beer available for purchase. Nonalcoholic drinks will be offered as well.

Did we mention fun?

Enjoy live music, mingle with food justice leaders, and learn the latest about Slow Food Nations and other projects of our local and international Slow Food movement from our special guests. You’ll have the chance to bid on Slow Food experiences in a live auction and, who knows, there might even be a raffle…

Did we mention fundraiser?

Besides the auction, you’ll have the chance to purchase an EmBracelet and wear your Slow Food philosophy on your wrist. With a $20 (or greater) donation you can proclaim your support of Joy + Justice in our food system with these bracelets handcrafted especially for Slow Food by Tanzanian artisans.
Plus, a portion of all proceeds will go to the Mungere School to support their half-acre organic garden and healthy meal plan for 200 students. Agricultural coursework built around the garden provides students with practical skills and work experience in sustainability, bringing this thriving food community one step closer to the just food system we envision for all.

So much fun in one afternoon, you won’t want to miss it.
Bring your appetite (and your wallet), we can’t wait to see you there!

Slow Food believes food shouldn’t just taste good, it should do good: for
the planet and for every person, plant, and animal that participates in our
global food system. We fight for food justice and embrace the diversity and
deliciousness that such a system provides. We must do it together!
