Your support needed! Public hearing to approve SE Greenway General Plan Amendment

Action Alert
Santa Rosa City Council Meeting, Tuesday, July 9th!

This is the Moment We’ve Been Waiting For!

The Santa Rosa City Council will hold a public hearing and consider final approval of the Environmental Impact Report (EIR), General Plan Amendment and Rezoning for the Southeast Greenway Project at their meeting on July 9th.

A strong show of support will be key to a successful outcome. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend.

Santa Rosa City Council Meeting
Tuesday, July 9 after 5:00 pm
City Hall, Council Chambers
100 Santa Rosa Ave, Santa Rosa, CA

With the City Council’s approval, the SE Greenway Project will open a new chapter – the Sonoma Land Trust, with the support of the Greenway Partners, will spearhead the property appraisal process and negotiate with Caltrans to acquire the land for our community.

Here are some suggestions to help you prepare for the July 9th meeting:

    • Plan to be seated in Council Chambers at 5:00 pm. The SE Greenway is second on the public hearing agenda, so we should not have a long wait. Check the City’s website to see the City Council’s agenda and staff report by clicking here. The agenda will be available at least 72 hours before the meeting.

    • We urge Greenway supporters to sit together so that Council Members see a green sea of support. If you would like a Greenway T-Shirt, please email Linda@SoutheastGreenway.org and let us know the size you will need – M, L, XL, 2XL. We will have a shirt reserved for you at the meeting. Look for our volunteer in a greenway shirt outside of council chambers between 4:30 – 5:15 pm.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, July 9th!
