Critics are calling this draft “the Coastal Development Document” as it does little for the stewardship requirements as set by the California Coastal Commission Preamble.
This Sunday, November 17: First Public Workshop on the Sonoma County Local Coastal Plan, at Sea Ranch….
WHAT OUR TREASURED SONOMA COAST WILL LOOK LIKE OVER THE COURSE OF THE NEXT DECADE IS CURRENTLY BEING UPDATED IN THE COUNTY’S LOCAL COASTAL PLAN (LCP).
The LCP update addresses critical issues ranging from traffic, logging, rural event centers, residential and commercial development, vacation rentals, water supply and wastewater, public access, offshore oil and gas drilling facilities, sea level rise, and how we can best protect our sensitive coastal habitat. You may download individual chapters of the LCP – or the entire document – at https://sonomacounty.ca.gov/PRMD/Long-Range-Plans/Local-Coastal-Program/Public-Review-Draft/
