Updates for November – Coalition Opposing New Gas Stations

Updates for November – Coalition Opposing New Gas Stations

Good Morning All,
Welcome to November, the fall time change, and the aftermath of yet another wildfire episode in our county. We hope you made it through OK.
First: We do not expect the 5300 Sebastopol Road gas station case to come up at the BZA in November. The next regularly scheduled meeting where it may come up is Dec. 12, 1pm.

Second: The main thing we need right now are letters to the Press Democrat and other local papers. For the PD, email letters of no more than 200 words to letters@pressdemocrat.com Include your full name and home city for publication. Letters must be original and written exclusively for The Press Democrat. Letters that do not include a home address and daytime phone number will not be considered for publication. Letters may be edited for length and clarity.
For other local papers – Bohemian, Gazette, Sonoma West Times & News, etc., please visit their websites for instructions.
Important note: we are not providing a template letter purposely. We have reason to believe that planning commissioners and others are discounting letters that appear to be from the same template. All you need to do is write a brief letter that says you are opposed to the gas station in your own words. Thanks!
Third: We had a very good meeting on October 23 with about 22 of us there.
Fourth: Lynda Hopkins will be attending the Saturday, November 9 meeting of the North Bay Electric Auto Association to talk about how to accelerate EV adoption. Please come if you can: 10am-Noon, Thunderstruck Motors, 2985 Dutton Ave #3a, Santa Rosa. Other calendar items are in the notes from the Oct 23 meeting.
OK, that’s all for today,
Please chime in if there is anything important I missed.
