OUR WEST COUNTY TRAIL IS UNDER THREAT AGAIN!!

The County Board of Supervisors is considering an ordinance this coming Monday that could allow hemp, which looks and smells just like cannabis, to be grown right beside our West County Trail.

The Supervisors are also considering turning the hemp approval process over to the Agricultural Commissioner’s office, where there would be no public hearings and little or no input from the people most affected by these grows.

Hemp creates the same problems as cannabis – stinky odor and security issues. Hemp has the same potential as cannabis for criminal activity, since crooks can’t tell the difference between the two. Please click on this link if you doubt this is a threat:

Last year we worked together and got a 1,000-foot setback for our trail from cannabis grows. That will be lost unless the Supervisors agree to the same setback for hemp.

Please help protect our trail, our neighborhood, and the right to have our voices heard! Email the Supervisors today
(see below) and tell them you want public hearings for proposed hemp/cannabis grows and setbacks/buffers from hemp and cannabis for parks, trails, schools and residences.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO SEND YOUR EMAIL TODAY so it gets entered into the record for the hearing Monday. One email to all is fine. Please copy and paste address if links are not active in this email.
