Got Drought plans? Daily Acts: Irrigation Workshop at the Petaluma Library

Saturday, March 21st | 9am – 12pm
Three years ago, Daily Acts installed an irrigation at the Petaluma Library. We used ¼’’ spaghetti tubing shaped in the letter “U” with emitters at each end to bring water to individual plants. We learned that this type of irrigation design is not ideal for this site. Pressure in the lines cause the emitters to blow out resulting in little water fountains. Daily Acts is going to install an inline irrigation system where the emitters are built into the tube. This workshop will be a great opportunity to learn about how to redesign an existing system. You’ll gain experience running tube from the valves, and you’ll also learn how to decide about emitter spacing and determine rate of flow. This free workshop is a great opportunity to familiarize yourself with different systems and gain confidence working on irrigation!
