From our CONGAS friends: November Gasoline Phaseout News

Coltura Hosts “Race to Clean Car Future” Webinar

States, including California, Washington, New York and New Jersey, are moving forward with aggressive new regulations and bills to phase out sales of new gas cars by 2030 or 2035. Regions are stepping up, too. Silicon Valley is seeking to cut gasoline consumption in the region 50% by 2030, and Los Angeles aims to have 80% of new vehicles sold be electric by 2028.

Which state will lead the way to a clean car future for the United States, and what role will regional efforts play?

Join experts from Coltura and Joint Venture Silicon Valley’s Beyond Gasoline Initiative on Wednesday, December 9, at 12pm PT/3pm ET to discuss the race to a clean car future. Register here.

A Climate Election

Climate change has become a key issue in elections for about two-thirds of voters.

An NBC poll shows 68% of voters believe climate change is a serious problem, including over half of moderate or liberal Republicans and independents. A Politico poll found that 57% support phasing out the U.S. oil industry and transitioning to renewable energy. A Fox News survey found 70% of voters are concerned about climate change and want to see increased spending on green and renewable energy.

Coltura looks forward to helping the Biden Administration advance the climate action desired by large majorities of Americans by transitioning the country beyond gasoline.
