MARK ADAMS:
I entered the race for Fifth District County Supervisor to serve our community. After several months on the campaign trail, it has become clear to me that the time commitment involved, even this early in the race, has created an issue where I need to choose between my company and my family, and this position. My special needs son Logan and the welfare of my employees are currently my highest priorities. While I would love to serve our community, I want to do so when I have the availability to prioritize the citizens of this wonderful county — sadly, now is not the right time.
| That’s why I’m announcing today that I am bowing out of the race for Sonoma County Supervisor.
I have been serving and protecting Sonoma County throughout my career. It’s a commitment I take seriously. While I had hoped to do this as your next County Supervisor, this is simply not my time to run.
I want to thank all of my early supporters. I would not have taken this leap if I didn’t have you with me. If I look at this possibility in the future, I hope I can count on your support again. Thank you, once more, for this opportunity to serve.
